Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Vanefeed handles and why. It covers two groups: our customers, and people whose public posts appear in data we collect.

1. Customers

What we collect: the name, email, company and use case you give when you sign up or contact sales; a salted one-way hash of the IP address you signed up from (to stop repeat free signups); your dashboard password (stored only as a salted scrypt hash) and sign-in sessions (stored only as one-way hashes; 30 days, 12 hours for staff); your API keys (stored only as one-way hashes); invoices; and request logs (time, endpoint, platform, status, response time, credits used, request id). Request logs do not store your search terms or other query parameters.
Why: to provide and secure the Service, bill you, prevent abuse and answer support requests.
How long: request logs 12 months; billing records as long as tax law requires; contact-sales requests that don't become customers, 6 months.

2. People in public content

We collect only content that is publicly visible on the platforms: public posts, comments, profile names, bios and public counts.
We never collect private accounts, direct messages, private groups, passwords, or email addresses and phone numbers from profiles.
Collected content is kept for 90 days by default, then deleted, unless a customer's tracking setup needs it longer.
Our legal basis is legitimate interest in providing access to public information, balanced against your rights, which is why we exclude private and contact data.

3. Your rights and takedowns

To have your content removed, or to ask what we hold about you, email hello@vanefeed.com with the links or the account name. We act within 7 days and confirm by email. If you are in the EU, UK or California you also have the rights to access, correct, delete and object under GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA, and to complain to your data-protection authority.

4. Sharing

We don't sell personal data. Customers receive public content through the API under our Terms of Service, which forbid surveillance and profiling of individuals. We use hosting and email providers to run the Service, bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.

5. Security

Keys are stored hashed, stored sessions are encrypted at rest, traffic uses HTTPS, the internal console is not exposed to the internet, and failed or abusive requests are logged for review.

6. This website

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. If you sign in to the playground, your API key is kept only in that browser tab and is deleted when you sign out or close the tab.
