Telegram API for public channel posts

Read any public Telegram channel's details and posts, with views, media and links, or search inside one channel.

What you can get from Telegram

EndpointInputReturnsPrice
/v1/telegram/profilehandleA public channel's title, description and subscribers1 credit
/v1/telegram/postshandleThe channel's posts with views and media2 credits per 20 results
/v1/telegram/postidOne post by t.me link1 credit
/v1/telegram/searchq + handleSearch inside one channel3 credits per 20 results

Lists are charged only for the results that come back. Credit packs cost $0.99–$1.45 per 1,000 credits, lower on custom volume plans; see pricing.

Vanefeed vs the official Telegram API

Telegram's Bot API only sees chats the bot has been added to, and reading a channel's history through the full client API (MTProto) needs a phone-number account.

Vanefeed reads public channels without a bot, an account or a phone number. Private groups and chats are out of scope.

Example

curl "https://api.vanefeed.com/v1/telegram/posts?handle=durov&limit=20" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $VANEFEED_KEY"

Every platform answers in the same shape: data (posts with author, text, published_at, metrics and media), plus next_cursor for the next page. Add dry_run=true to see the price first, free.

Questions

Can I read private groups?

No. Only public channels, the same content anyone can open at t.me/s/channel.

Do I need a Telegram account?

No. You only need your Vanefeed key.

Do failed calls cost credits?

No. Credits are only taken for successful answers, and every response shows what it cost in the X-Credits-Cost header. Repeats served from cache are free too.

Can I get sentiment with the data?

Yes: add sentiment=true to posts, comments or search and each result gets a positive, neutral or negative label with a confidence score, for 1 extra credit per 20 results.
